Create Your Own Sales Funnel in GetResponse, your business will thank you for it!
We just cannot wait to show you how to create a sales funnel using GetResponse, this was done using the basic plan subscription and no need for coding or fancy software.
But first, what is a lead funnel? It is a way to engage potential customers by giving them valuable information in exchange for their email. It starts with the Signup page where they enter the Email, then the download page where they get the content or list, and finally, a follow-up email or a series of emails so they get to know you better.

First, go to Getresponse.com and sign in or signup if you do not have an account just yet

In this example, we already have a dashboard that has Quick actions on the far left where you can quickly complete these tasks
You also have widgets like the one on Tips and Tricks where you can move around or simply remove the widgets that you do not need.
This widget has one of the latest newsletters, if you click on the three dots in the upper left-hand corner, you can reuse this letter or view the full report

Then at the bottom of the dashboard, you can add a new widget and look at the widget library and all the tons of options they offer

So, since we are starting the sales funnel from scratch you can click on the Tools icon on top, select Conversion funnel, or click create a funnel from the Tools menu on the main dashboard

For this tutorial let us use the lead magnet funnel and click Create.

Notice that GetResponse will create a contact list, especially for this funnel so you can track the performance better. Type the name of your funnel and click Save and Continue.

The next step is to select the lead magnet or the content that you want to offer. You can try one of the pre-designed ones from GetResponse or upload your own under add another lead magnet option.

This is the area where GetResponse takes you through all the steps, starting with a signup page

First let us create a signup page by clicking in this area, where you can select a template or start from scratch.
In the next section let us select a template, type the name for the Signup page, and click next

You are now in the page editor. This area is all about drag and drop. You can left-click or double-click on the images and logos to change and replace them, press the delete button to remove them, and just click on top of the titles and text to re-write them. Press CTRL+Z if you need to undo any changes just like in Excel and drag and drop any of the elements on the right, black panel anywhere you want on the page. Notice that I am double-clicking on the button to change colors and properties.

If you want to include a Thank You Page then you can modify it in this area and before you click Publish, make sure you review the funnel and change the text as needed. To edit use the same drag and drop concepts as you did on the Signup page. But for now, we are going to work on the Download page next.

Let’s click on Next Step and look at the sales funnel settings where we can change the Title of the signup page, description for SEO, add a custom domain if we need to, or change the Thank You page, which we picked to stay in current page for this video, remember we are not using the Thank You page. You can enable the chat feature as well in the funnel and when ready click Publish.

This is the dashboard where we can see and modify all the parts in the funnel. Check the link from our funnel here. We checked that it worked by seeing the one signup so we can click on the Download page section.

We are selecting the third template in our gallery by double-clicking on it
Let us rename the page and click Next Step to finish the setup

We can change the letters and branding in this area so it all looks consistent, and the gray area is where the users will see the image of the lead magnet we uploaded at the beginning of this video. By clicking here, they will download the document. Click on Next Step in the upper right-hand corner to continue
Let us enter the description of this second landing or download page and click Publish at the bottom. Make sure you enter the description and any settings that you need.

All right let us go ahead and create an email to introduce ourselves and help our clients with our products or services by clicking Create Email.

Enter the Emai settings in this area. The message name of the email will be visible to us and not our users, the subject is what they will see as the E-mail subject, and click next for the last part of our Email setup.

In this next section look at the beautiful templates GetResponse has, we can scroll down and choose any of the templates available here.

Make sure to insert the links of the buttons by double-clicking on them and pointing them to the section of your website or product. Left-click away from the area you are editing so you can continue and click next on the lower right-hand corner when finished.
Let us scroll down and notice that you can also add an attachment to your emails by clicking on this icon, and click the Next step button to continue.

This is the exciting part because the funnel is ready to go! You can create ads for social media right here or text yourself a link to the funnel first to make sure it works

If you need to change any of the settings you can click on the little three dots inside each funnel stage (in the far right of the funnel shape inside each colored area), you can also track performance on this dashboard too. Remember you can add a Widget in GetResponse’s home page or dashboard so you can see easily this page.

To make sure it all looks good check the Funnel by opening the link in a new tab. You can do this on the funnel dashboard by clicking on the link of the funnel assigned by GetResponse.

Type an Email address and press the submit button or the call to action button that you setup in the funnel. This is what triggers the funnel to start the process.
Check that your funnel works by checking that you got an email and the download link.

Click on the download page you received and see that you can open the lead or content of your choice.
To finish make sure that your funnel is tracking the e-mails and that the number of contacts is increasing.
To do so, go to the Funnel dashboard page in GetResponse. If you click on the number next to contacts (List growth section in the green area), you can see the contact details of the e-mails that came through the funnel.
